The probable show stopper

Large nations tend to presume their sovereignty a given, while small nations tend to consider their sovereignty a matter of enormous pride. A man is just a man, but a man with a crown on his head imagines himself a king. As a very small nation Icelandic sovereignty is as important to Icelanders as their language. Canada is not in a position to offer Icelanders sovereignty within our federation. This issue is likely to out weigh all others to Icelanders. Only if they find themselves in a position where their sovereignty is compromised are Icelanders likely to seriously consider options that involve any loss of sovereignty.
